In the spring of 2004 Robin Sloan and Matt Thompson presented the ominous Epic 2014 (now renamed Epic 2015) that ultimately predicts that Google will force the New York Times to shut down. In the movie, they also predict that Google will launch something called “Google Grid”:“…a universal platform offering an unlimited amount of space and bandwidth that can be used to store anything. It allows users to manage their information two ways: store it privately or publish it to the entire grid.” See the movie here

Within 12 days, European users can download a song or a application or a music video or a film or a TV show per a day, and they are free. Of course it’s not April Fools’ Day, it’s a Christmas sales promotion program of Apple-“iTunes 12 Days of Christmas”。
As far as i know, the program starts from 26th Dec. till 6th Jan, each free download will be valid for 24 hours. so make sure you sign up for daily email alerts or become a fan of iTunes (UK) on Facebook to get the daily downloads for free. Apple also offers users a chance to win a Itouch. WOW, i guess that chance is quite small~

Fring brings world’s first video calls to iPhone and iPod touch

Apple has long been rumored to integrate video conferencing capabilities in the iPhone, and most expected Skype to incorporate such a feature in its free application for iPhone and iPod Touch devices sooner or later, but Israel’s fring is first to actually do it.
Big caveat for starters: the camera on the iPhone 3GS is located on the back, which is handy for recording videos of people and locations in front of you but of course makes it impossible for you to point the camera at your own face while still being able to see the screen (unlike Nokia N Series phones for instance).
Thus, the latest version of fring’s iPhone app may well integrate video calling, but it’s only for incoming streams – which the startup acknowledges in the press release.
Its application for selected Nokia Symbian S60 devices, however, should have two-way video calling.
The tool is designed to work for video calls between both fring and Skype contacts, but the new feature most definitely failed to deliver in my own personal experience at first. After trying to set up video calls both with a friend on Skype and someone from the company over fring, I found that calls were dropped automatically after only half a second. Two calls and multiple chat sessions with fring’s engineering team later, we found that – while my settings are hardly exotic – the configuration of my WiFi access point prevented me from handling incoming video calls using the fring application.
The company swiftly solved the problem of the blocked connection, and after rebooting my access point I successfully accepted an incoming video call from a fring engineer who was using his Nokia N97 camera and phone. It – finally – worked like a charm.

Swyping Vs iPhone Typing (Iphone should has this)

As you can see in the video above, which shows a side-by-side comparison of typing on the Omnia II versus on an iPhone, the way you type with Swype is you literally swipe your finger from one letter to the next as fast as you can. In the video, the Swypist beats the iPhone typist hands down, so to speak.
More phones with Swype built in will be launched next year. The Omnia II is a Windows Mobile phone. But Swype will be included in a new Android phone in the first quarter of 2010.
Will Swype give Android an edge over the iPhone?

Firstly, i have to announced i did no do it on purpose!
Last month i bought 24 pieces ink for my Brother printer, it cost 6,051 Ft!
Just like previous case (The story about the book case), package some how lost during shipment. Had discussion with seller, he decided to send me a new packages. I revived it last week and being a kind person~~i left him a positive feedback immediately
Early this morning i got an other package, the one which got lost during shipment. (postman work on weekend???) Now, i have 48 pieces which only cost once price. Looks like i will not run out of ink for very long time!

First, you need to get an image of Chrome OS. You can do that using this torrent. You can also try out the build that GDGT has uploaded, which worked fine in our test as well. If you get the torrent version, you’ll see it’s in a .BZ2 format. You’ll need to extract it. Macs should be able to do this automatically, but for Windows you may need a tool like Win Rar.
Once that’s done, download a version of VirtualBox for whatever OS you’re running on here and install it. After registering (or declining to) you’ll be met with a screen like this. Click the button that says “New” in the upper left hand corner. We’re going to be making a new virtual machine.:
